Sydney Morning Herald: THE Australia Institute estimates that the Federal Government’s plan to include landfill in its carbon pollution reduction scheme will cost councils $344 million a year. This would be passed on to ratepayers in higher rates, fees and charges, the Australian Local Government Association says.
